I miss the City Opera and especially Jennifer Rivera and Inna DuKatch. I love to see the new operas you dare to put on and welcome them with open arms. Yes, I will support!

NYCO is a company that should be saved. The city, singers, and public need it to survive. It has been a vital part of Opera in New York. I for one am going to become a donor. I think the video collage was terrific. It touched my heart and pocketbook.

I don't expect the company to ask my opinion on who should run it just because I buy tickets. I support City Opera and I'm happy to donate now that Mortier is gone.

This is wonderful. Yes, I will support you.

I wish you guys luck - I can't imagine New York without City Opera!

I had become increasingly disappointed in the repertoire of the last several years, wondering where were all of the great, challenging works of the 20th century. So as much as I wondered about how well Mortier would fit within the City Opera "culture," I was looking forward to the operas he proposed. I was heartened earlier this year to see Susan Baker in the audience for Elliott Carter's new opera. To me that suggested that she had an appetite for new work as well as established operas. I hope that the exciting operas of our time become a greater part of the City Opera season.

This has been a very sad and lonely season without any City Opera performances. I hope it will be able to resume very soon. A contribution is in the mail.
